The Chapters

The longest day of the year has come and gone.

As of yesterday, I am no longer a student, officially.
Even if I do further my studies in the future, I would return as a mature students.

Last time, dog's death marked the last day of class and brought a sense of closure.
This time, smashing records like Frisbee ended the term on a note of blissful insanity.

A toast to everyone, all so kind, to make this a most happy time.

Bristol: Spring Songs 2

Lots of plants are blooming in earnest now and little critters are out and about.

It was raining white petals just the other day in this very busy lane between the trees in Castle Park.

The pink ones on Bradon Hill does remind me of Micheal Dudash's work.

Something less delicate, but still intriguing. Being part of the branches, they do look like caterpillars to me.

More white beauties. Some of them carries a soft tint of yellow or pink in the middle.

And a samurai among the cherry blossoms.

This is the first time I realize how straight a squirrel can stand. And those on the Hill are doing it a lot.

Now, it would be brilliant if the weather is just as fair for the coming Easter Eggs hunt...

Bristol: Spring Songs

Here is to share some tidings of spring, English days at their glorious best.

Glistering morning dews. A wonder you can catch if you wake up early enough.

Flowers in the sun, each blooming in its time and fading in its turn.

As longer days herald the coming summer, another season draws closer to an end.

Last year about this time, I was in Aberdeen. Here is a terrier on Coronation Road to commemorate that.

Behold the flower, seed and wood, dust, ash and sand...
A blessed and joyful Easter to those who celebrates it.

Wind by the Fireside

There is nothing quite like barbecuing some good food under a clear evening sky in the company of friends. The chilly wind only makes the fire all the warmer.

As they say, flames are never the same, twice. You can stare at them for ages, yet there will be no identical repetitions.

At times, in the dying amber, creatures and things emerged from the flame. From delicate flowers to savage beasts, what can been seen is limited only by our imaginations, a faculty that was often less corroded relatively in many's early days.

But what I found to be the most fascinating imagery of all is something you can only be seen if you dance along with the efreeti.

Here are some of my favorite shots.

If the world is going to hell in a handbasket, the shadows and the flames sure look a lot prettier to me than the fluffy clouds and eternal light. ;)
